Maple Bourbon Pecans

Ingredients

– egg whites –lightly packed brown sugar, light or dark – pure maple syrup – bourbon – ground cinnamon – salt – pure vanilla extract – unsalted roasted pecan halves

1. Whisk egg whites until white and frothy. 2. Whisk in brown sugar, maple syrup, bourbon, cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract. 3. Add pecans and toss until evenly coated. 4. Spread into an even single layer on prepared baking sheet. 5. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove nuts and toss on pan. 6. Bake another 15 minutes and toss again. 7. Bake another 10-15 minutes. 8. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 20 minutes. 9. Enjoy!

Directions

Enjoy these pecans on top of oatmeal, sweet potato casserole, Greek yogurt, on a charcuterie board, or as-is for a sweet snack!
