If you love caramel, you’ll love this creamy date caramel sauce. Of course it tastes great, but it’s also super easy and only has 4 ingredients! Not to mention, it can be made vegan and gluten-free.
– 20 large pitted dates (any type will work but we use Medjool dates) – 1/2–1 cup unsweetened milk of choice – 2 tsp vanilla extract* – 1 tsp sea salt
1. If dates are hard, soak in warm water for 10-15 minutes or until soft. Drain before blending. 2. Place dates, 1/2 cup milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a blender or food processor and blend on high for ~2 minutes. Add 2 Tbsp of milk at a time if needed. The consistency should be smooth and creamy. You may need to scrape down the sides of the blender or food processor a couple of times! 3. Serve with sliced apples and enjoy!
