Greek yogurt buffalo chicken dip is an easy recipe perfect for football season or a Super Bowl party, or any potluck. This healthy buffalo chicken dip is sure to be a hit with it's creamy texture and tangy flavor!

Units Scale
  • 2 cups (429g) shredded chicken breast
  • 8oz (227g) light cream cheese (Neufchatel cheese)
  • 2/3 cup (178g) low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 2/3 cup (89g) low-fat shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup (227g) buffalo/hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup (67g) finely diced celery
  • 1/2 cup (43g) shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup (30g) Ranch seasoning (2 packets)
  • Optional toppings: shredded low-fat cheddar cheese, sliced green onion, blue cheese

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare an 8x8" baking dish.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until evenly combined (make sure the cream cheese is mixed through!).
  3. Pour into baking dish and top with shredded cheese(s) if desired.
  4. Bake 40-50 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  5. Let cool ~10 minutes, top with sliced green onions and more cheese if desired, and serve with raw veggies and/or chips!

  • STORING: Store leftover buffalo chicken dip in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator or freezer for up to 2 months.
  • SERVING:This is a great football season tailgate, Super Bowl party, or potluck recipe for your next party! I love serving this delicious dip in the baking dish I baked it in and sprinkling with sliced green onions and/or blue cheese crumbles. My favorite snacks to serve with it are:
  • MAKING AHEAD: This recipe is so easy to make ahead of time. Simply follow the instructions in the recipe card below until you get to the step where you sprinkle low-fat cheddar cheese on top. Wrap the casserole dish in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve. Before serving, sprinkle with extra cheese and bake at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes!
  • For best results with this easy buffalo chicken dip recipe, I recommend using low fat Greek yogurt, low fat cream cheese, and low fat cheese instead of nonfat Greek yogurt, cream cheese, or shredded cheese. Having some fat adds to the mouthfeel of the dip and fat free can make it chalky.
  • You can leave out the shredded carrots and celery if you prefer.
  • You can substitute low-fat cottage cheese for plain Greek yogurt!
  • Rotisserie chicken is an easy option instead of making shredded chicken at home in the slow cooker or Instant Pot.
  • Mozzarella cheese is a good "melty" cheese you can sprinkle on top in addition to or instead of cheddar cheese!
