I'm Lauren and I'm the one behind the recipes! The Perfect Pear was originally started by myself and my fiancé, Zach (hence, "pear"!). We met in grad school at Florida State in 2014 and have been together ever since. We're both performance dietitians by trade and are huge foodies. We love traveling, trying new restaurants, cooking, baking, and creating fun cocktails.
Most of the recipes on The Perfect Pear fall under the high quality, whole foods, “healthy” category. However, you’ll find some that are downright delicious and may contain traditionally “unhealthy” ingredients. And that’s okay! As cliché as it sounds, everything in moderation is okay. We hope to inspire you to find ways to nutritionally improve recipes while enjoying classic recipes every now and then!
